Dublin, Ireland – 15 April 2025

The Irish Kennel Club (IKC) and Agria, Europe’s leading specialist provider of pet insurance, are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at promoting the development of healthy dogs and combating diseases and hereditary defects in collaboration with veterinary authorities and other experts.

Agria will offer insurance solutions focused on dog well-being to IKC members. This ensures that members’ dogs receive the best possible veterinary care. They will also collaborate to create initiatives that support the overall well-being of pets.

Pat O’Boyle, President of the IKC, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Agria. This collaboration underscores our shared dedication to enhancing the quality of life for dogs in Ireland. Together, we will explore innovative methods to promote responsible breeding and pet ownership, support canine health, and offer our members exclusive benefits.

‘Our goal is to promote initiatives that support the health and well-being of dogs while also providing peace of mind for their owners. By combining our expertise in pet insurance and research with the IKC’s established membership network and strong commitment to canine welfare, we can provide breeders and dog owners with valuable support regarding pet health issues.’ said Bernard O’Sullivan, Country Manager of Agria Ireland.

This innovative partnership establishes a new benchmark in pet welfare by combining the strengths of two leaders in the field. This collaborative effort will enhance the value for dog owners and breeders, creating a community dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of dogs.
